Children’s Day 2025: Education as the Engine of Change

For over two decades, P&G Shiksha has been bridging India’s learning gap by supporting the education of more than 50 lakh children. What began with building classrooms and essential infrastructure has evolved into a mission focused on strengthening early learning, empowering teachers, and improving learning outcomes so that every child not only attends school but truly learns and thrives.

This Children’s Day, the inspiring journey of Garima Mandloi from Satlapur, Madhya Pradesh, stands out. With improved school infrastructure and English learning support provided through P&G Shiksha, Garima found the confidence and foundation to chase her dream of entering an IIT. Today, she is studying Civil Engineering at IIT Roorkee — proof of how opportunity and mentorship can transform lives.

Since its launch in 2005, P&G Shiksha has consistently worked to improve learning outcomes through partnerships with leading NGOs and government bodies. With ASER reports highlighting persistent learning gaps, the program’s 360-degree approach — from early childhood learning to remediation and scholarships like Shiksha Betiyan — plays a crucial role in keeping children learning with understanding.

As P&G Shiksha completes over 20 years, stories like Garima’s reflect its impact across India. From remote classrooms to top institutions, the program continues to build a future where every child is empowered to learn, dream, and rise — proving that education truly is the engine of change.
