The BCCI on Friday announced a 15-member India U19 squad for the upcoming ACC Men’s U19 Asia Cup, scheduled to be held in Dubai from December 12 to December 21, 2025. Young Mumbai batter Ayush Mhatre has been appointed captain, while Vihaan Malhotra has been named vice-captain.
The squad features an exciting mix of performers, including 14-year-old prodigy Vaibhav Suryavanshi, who continues to draw attention for his aggressive batting style. The selection committee has focused on balance, including strong batting depth, all-round options and a quality pace-spin combination.
India has been placed in Group A, where they will face Pakistan in a much-anticipated group-stage clash. The tournament serves as an important preparation platform ahead of the U19 World Cup next year, making the performance of this young group crucial.
The complete 15-member squad includes Ayush Mhatre (captain), Vihaan Malhotra (vice-captain), Vaibhav Suryavanshi, Vedant Trivedi, Abhigyan Kundu (wk), Harvansh Singh (wk), Yuvraj Gohil, Kanishk Chouhan, Khilan A. Patel, Naman Pushpak, D. Deepesh, Henil Patel, Kishan Kumar Singh (subject to fitness clearance), Udhav Mohan and Aaron George. Rahul Kumar, Hemchudeshan J, B.K. Kishore and Aditya Rawat have been named as standbys.
