The Asian Legends League will return with its second season from January 19 to February 1, 2026, featuring an expanded lineup of seven teams. Two new franchises—Gulf Gladiators, comprising players from Gulf and Associate nations, and Pakistan Panthers—have been added to the tournament.
The official launch event in Mumbai was hosted by World Sports Group (UAE), where the organisers confirmed that Season 2 will introduce the Impact Player rule, similar to the IPL. This marks the first time the rule will be used in the league to enhance tactical flexibility and excitement.
Director of Cricket Operations Sandeep Patil said the upcoming edition aims to deliver a more competitive and engaging tournament format, boosted by the inclusion of new teams. Director of the Technical Committee Madan Lal highlighted that the Impact Player rule will help improve game balance and maintain energy levels among the former international stars.
League Commissioner Aakash Chopra stated that the Asian Legends League is designed as a celebration of Asian cricket’s rich legacy, reviving classic rivalries and inspiring younger players. Season 2 will feature 25 matches in a full round-robin league, promising a two-week cricket spectacle for fans across the world.
