Aspect Sports, APCO Infratech acquire ‘Tiigers of Mumbai Dangals’ as Pro Wrestling League returns in 2026

Aspect Sports, the sports arm of Aspect Global Ventures, in partnership with APCO Infratech, has acquired the Mumbai franchise of the Pro Wrestling League (PWL), marking the launch of the Tiigers of Mumbai Dangals ahead of the league’s comeback season in 2026. The PWL, first introduced in 2015, had emerged as India’s leading professional wrestling competition before going on pause in 2019. Its revival is expected to provide renewed structure and visibility to elite wrestling in the country.

With this move, Aspect Sports expands its ‘Tiger’ franchise portfolio from Kolkata to Mumbai, reinforcing its growing presence across Indian sports. The franchise has appointed renowned national coach and two-time PWL champion Chandra Vijay Singh as Head Coach to lead the team’s debut campaign.

Aksha Kamboj, Executive Chairperson of Aspect Global Ventures and owner of the franchise, said the acquisition reflects the company’s commitment to building professional, performance-driven sports teams while strengthening India’s sporting ecosystem. APCO Infratech Director RP Singh said the partnership aims to support the growth of wrestling at a professional level.

The 2026 PWL season will feature six teams and a strong talent pool of Indian wrestlers, with the player auction scheduled for January 3, 2026. Top wrestlers including Aman Sehrawat, Antim Panghal, Deepak Punia, Anshu Malik and others are expected to go under the hammer ahead of the league, which will run from January 16 to February 1, 2026.

Based in Mumbai, Tiigers of Mumbai Dangals aim to present wrestling in a modern, high-energy format while staying rooted in the sport’s competitive spirit.
