Mumbai, January 7, 2026: UP Warriorz have unveiled their new playing jersey for the upcoming Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2026 season, blending heritage craftsmanship with modern sporting design. The jersey has been created in collaboration with Ekaya Banaras, the team’s official design partner, and draws inspiration from Banaras’ rich textile legacy.
Titled “A Blooming Rebellion,” the jersey celebrates the fusion of tradition, identity and contemporary performance sport. The design reimagines Banarasi floral motifs through Ekaya’s renowned weaving aesthetics, symbolising strength, resilience and renewal. The concept reflects the Warriorz spirit of courage and self-expression, positioning the team’s kit as both a cultural statement and a modern sporting identity.
The Banarasi-inspired elements are seamlessly integrated into a sleek, high-performance athletic silhouette tailored for elite T20 cricket. The jersey prioritises comfort, mobility and visual impact while giving players a deeper sense of belonging and purpose on the field.
