The All India Pickleball Association (AIPA) successfully concluded the 4th East Zone Pickleball Championship 2025, showcasing rising talent and growing enthusiasm for the sport across eastern India. Players from Bihar, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, and other states participated with great energy, highlighting pickleball’s expanding reach.
Rajiv Kumar emerged as the star performer, winning Gold in both Open Men’s Singles and Open Men’s Doubles alongside Anukul Singh. In the junior category, Prachenta Verma impressed with a dominant performance, securing Gold in Girls’ Singles (Under-18).
Among other standout performances, Deepak Paswan clinched two Silver medals in Open Men’s Doubles (with Ranjan Kumar) and Open Mixed Doubles (with Parcheta Verma). Aditya Gupta and Apurv Kumar secured Bronze in Men’s Doubles. In junior divisions, Hridhhan Goenka (U-14), Anurag Kumar (U-16), and Vishal Nishad (U-18) won their respective Boys’ Singles titles. Aastha Priyadarshani and Attulit Shrawan triumphed in Junior Mixed Doubles.
In addition, AIPA organized a Coaches and Referee Clinic on April 11–12, 2026, in Hyderabad, Telangana, with over 120 participants from across India. The initiative aimed at strengthening technical knowledge and promoting professional standards in the sport.
AIPA President Arvind Praboo praised the athletes and participants, stating that such efforts reflect the growing depth and bright future of pickleball in India.
