New Delhi, June 3: The Indian Women’s U18 Hockey Team stormed into the semifinals of the Women’s U18 Asia Cup 2026 with a record-breaking 25-0 victory over Singapore in their final Pool A match at Kakamigahara, Japan.
Having already secured a semifinal berth, India completed the group stage with a flawless record of three wins from three matches and finished on top of Pool A with nine points.
The star of the match was Nousheen Naz, who netted an incredible seven goals, while Geethasri Nammi produced a five-goal performance and was named the Player of the Match. Captain Sweety Kujur also led from the front with four goals, while Priyanka Minz chipped in with a hat-trick.
India took control early, with Sweety opening the scoring in the second minute before Nousheen and Geethasri added to the tally. The Indian attack proved unstoppable throughout the contest, overwhelming Singapore with relentless pressure and clinical finishing.
Apart from the leading scorers, Diya, Nancy Saroha, Shruti Kumari, Pushpa Manjhi, Rashmeen Kaur, and Sandeepa Kumari also found the back of the net as 10 different Indian players got on the scoresheet.
The Indian side continued its dominance across all four quarters, scoring consistently and showcasing impressive attacking depth. The emphatic win followed earlier victories against Malaysia and Korea, underlining India’s status as one of the strongest contenders for the title.
India will now await the outcome of Pool B matches to learn the identity of their semifinal opponents.
