Mumbai, June 13, 2026: MSC Maratha Royals successfully defended their Nuvama Private T20 Mumbai League title after defeating ARCS Andheri by eight runs in a thrilling final at the Wankhede Stadium.
Batting first, the Royals recovered from early setbacks as Chinmay Sutar played a crucial unbeaten retired-out knock of 61 runs, while captain Siddhesh Lad contributed 33 to help the team post 154/5 in 20 overs. Arjun Tendulkar was the pick of Andheri’s bowlers with two wickets.
In reply, ARCS Andheri fought hard with opener Divyaansh Sksena leading the chase with a brilliant 51 off 40 balls. However, MSC Maratha Royals’ bowlers kept making breakthroughs at crucial moments. Tushar Deshpande delivered a match-winning spell, taking 2/33 and dismissing key batter Shivam Dube to put the Royals in control. Andheri eventually finished at 146/8.
Earlier, SOBO Mumbai Falcons won the women’s title by defeating Aakash Tigers MWS by 25 runs.
Divyaansh Sksena won the Orange Cap after scoring 261 runs, while Tushar Deshpande claimed the Purple Cap with 12 wickets. The Royals became the first team to successfully retain the league crown.
