Kolkata, August 26, 2025 – Bengal Warriorz have handed the captaincy of their PKL Season 12 squad to star raider Devank Dalal, while veteran Nitesh Kumar has been named Defence Captain.
Dalal, the most expensive Indian player at the PKL 12 auction (₹2.205 crore), was last season’s top raider with 301 points. His remarkable comeback from a skull injury to become Best Player at the 71st Senior Nationals has made him a fan favourite.
Nitesh Kumar, the only player to record 100 tackle points in a PKL season, brings stability with 400+ career tackles and will lead the Warriorz defence.
Head Coach Naveen Kumar praised the duo’s balance of aggression and experience, while Capri Sports Director Apurv Gupta called them “the perfect leadership pair” to inspire the young squad.
With fearless raiding and rock-solid defence, Bengal Warriorz aim to deliver a toofani campaign in Pro Kabaddi League Season 12.
