Dhaka, Bangladesh, November 24:
India asserted their dominance once again in women’s kabaddi by winning the Women’s Kabaddi World Cup 2025, defeating Chinese Taipei 35–28 in a thrilling final.
India controlled the game right from the start with strong defensive coordination and sharp raiding. Chinese Taipei tried to fight back in the second half, but India did not allow them any momentum and sealed the victory with confidence.
Captain Ritu Negi and vice-captain Pushpa Rana led from the front with their experience and leadership. Champa Thakur, Bhawna Thakur and Sakshi Sharma contributed crucial raids and tackles to keep India ahead throughout the match.
Under the guidance of head coach Tejaswi and assistant coach Priyanka, India delivered a consistent and powerful performance across the tournament, including a big win over Iran in the semi-final.
This triumph further strengthens India’s legacy on the global kabaddi stage, making it their second consecutive World Cup title.
