India Crush Pakistan by 88 Runs in Women’s World Cup 2025 — Make It 12-0 in ODIs

Colombo, Oct 5:
Team India continued their dominance over Pakistan in women’s ODIs, clinching a massive 88-run win in the 2025 ICC Women’s World Cup clash at the R. Premadasa Stadium. With this victory, India’s head-to-head record against Pakistan in ODIs now stands at 12-0.

Batting first, India were bowled out for 247 in 50 overs — with Harleen Deol (46) and Richa Ghosh (35 off 20) leading the charge.
In reply, Pakistan were bundled out for 159 in 43 overs. Pacer Kranti Gaud was the star with the ball, taking 3 wickets for just 20 runs, earning her the Player of the Match award.

The game wasn’t without drama — Pakistan’s opener Muneeba Ali was run out in a bizarre manner, sparking controversy. The match also saw brief interruptions due to a sudden bug swarm on the field.

India captain Harmanpreet Kaur and Pakistan skipper Fatima Sana continued the long-standing tradition of not shaking hands at the toss.

With this win, India remain unbeaten in the tournament and move to the top of the points table. They next face South Africa on Thursday, while Pakistan take on Australia on Wednesday in search of their first win.

Score Summary:

India Women: 247 all out (50 overs)

Pakistan Women: 159 all out (43 overs)
Result: India won by 88 runs
