India delivered a commanding performance at the BOXAM Elite International 2026 in La Nucia, Spain, finishing the tournament with nine gold medals to top the standings. Olympic medallist Lovlina Borgohain and former youth world champion Arundhati Choudhary headlined a remarkable final day where Indian boxers dominated across divisions.
The women’s contingent was especially impressive, reaching seven finals and winning every bout. Manju Rani and Nitu opened the gold rush with comfortable victories in the lighter weight classes, while Poonam triumphed in an all-Indian clash in the 54kg category. Priya and Arundhati registered decisive wins against Ukrainian opponents, before Lovlina showcased her experience with a controlled victory in the 75kg final. Naina added another gold in the 80kg division.
In the men’s section, Sachin and Akash secured hard-fought gold medals after narrow wins against opponents from Canada and Kazakhstan respectively. Deepak and Ankush settled for silver.
With a total of nine golds, three silvers and seven bronzes, India emerged as the most successful nation at the tournament, gaining strong momentum ahead of a busy international season.
