Players from the All India Pickleball Association (AIPA) delivered an impressive performance at the WPC Asia Pickleball Open 2026 held from March 11 to 16 at The Mall Bangkapi in Bangkok, winning two gold and one silver medal.
In the Men’s Doubles 19+ Open, the Indian pair of Mayur Patil and Vanshik Kapadia clinched the gold medal with a dominant performance. Another gold came in the Women’s Doubles 19+ Open, where Aalyka Ebrahim partnered with Agnimitra Bhavatosh Bhattacharya to secure the top podium finish.
Aalyka Ebrahim also added a silver medal in Mixed Doubles Advanced Plus alongside Avinash Kumar and finished fourth in Women’s Singles 19+ Open and Advanced Plus, marking a strong all-round campaign.
In the Men’s Singles category, Sonu Kumar Vishwakarma finished runner-up to win silver, while Avinash Kumar secured third place (bronze) and Gaurav Rane placed fourth.
AIPA president Arvind Prabhoo praised the players’ performances, stating that such achievements highlight the growing strength of Indian pickleball on the international stage.
