ISPL Unveils National Framework with Zonal Panels to Boost Grassroots Cricket

Mumbai, September 05, 2025: The Indian Street Premier League (ISPL), India’s pioneering tennis-ball T10 league, has announced a national competitive framework with an official League Affiliation Model and Zonal Panel Structure. Dividing the country into eight zones, ISPL will now decentralise governance, ensuring equal opportunities and transparent evaluation for players from grassroots to national level. Tournament organisers can apply for official affiliation from September 24, gaining access to ISPL branding, systems and pathways for talent development.

Each zone will be governed by an ISPL-recognised panel led by franchise owners, supported by local organisers, scouts and development heads. Players can only enter the ISPL ecosystem through affiliated tournaments, with performance points determining eligibility for the Season 4 Auction Pool. The top 1,000 players nationwide will feature on live rankings, with 450 ultimately shortlisted for the Season 4 Auction after the official selection window (December 15, 2025 – September 15, 2026).

Highlighting ISPL’s impact, legends like Sachin Tendulkar and leaders like Ashish Shelar praised the move as a transformative step for grassroots cricket. Since its launch in 2024, ISPL has seen registrations soar past 4.2 million and expanded to eight celebrity-owned teams, making it the premier platform for aspiring cricketers. With structured development, prize money incentives, and transparent rankings, ISPL is redefining tennis-ball cricket as a professional, inclusive movement across India.
