Manchester, July 21, 2025: Team India all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy is set to miss the fourth Test against England at Old Trafford starting July 23, after suffering a knee ligament injury during training. Scans confirmed the injury, and reports suggest he could be out for the remainder of the five-Test series.
Reddy, who made his Test debut in this series, played in the second and third Tests. So far, he has scored 45 runs (with a top score of 30 at Lord’s) and took 2 wickets—both coming in one impressive over at Lord’s where he dismissed England openers Ben Duckett and Zak Crawley. His absence will impact India’s lower middle order and pace options.
Former India captain Dilip Vengsarkar has proposed bringing in Arshdeep Singh and Kuldeep Yadav to strengthen the bowling attack for the crucial Old Trafford Test.
India is expected to announce a replacement soon as they look to bounce back in the Anderson–Tendulkar Trophy.
