The franchise also unveiled its new jersey in Mohali, featuring title sponsor CP PLUS.
Speaking at the launch event, Iyer highlighted the importance of team bonding, calling the pre-season phase crucial for building camaraderie. “We live like a family for two months. Strong off-field bonding helps us perform better on the field,” he said, adding that match strategies are finalized closer to game days.
The PBKS skipper also reflected on his comeback from injury, revealing he had lost seven kilos during recovery. “It was challenging, but I enjoy such situations. I’m proud to be back and ready,” Iyer stated. Embracing the expectations from fans, he made his goal clear: “My eyes are on the trophy.”
Meanwhile, Arshdeep Singh spoke about the energy of playing in front of home fans in Mullanpur.
