Mumbai, 11th July 2025 – The grand 10th edition of the Filmfare Awards Marathi 2025 lit up Mumbai’s Hotel Sahara Star on July 10, celebrating a decade of cinematic brilliance. Presented by The Times Group, the star-studded night honoured films released between January 1 and December 31, 2024. Paani won Best Film, while Addinath M Kothare took home Best Director for the same. Mahesh Manjrekar bagged Best Actor in a Leading Role (Male) for Juna Furniture, and Prajaktta Mali (Phullwanti) along with Vaidehi Parshurami (Ek Don Teen Chaar) jointly won Best Actor in a Leading Role (Female).
The emotional highlight of the evening was the Lifetime Achievement Award presented to the legendary Usha Mangeshkar for her remarkable contribution to Marathi cinema and music. Sharing heartfelt words, she thanked her family and audience, while Sachin Pilgaonkar, who presented the award, revealed her hidden talent for painting. Dr. Jabbar Patel also reminded everyone of her work as a producer, making it a truly memorable tribute.
The ceremony saw Phullwanti lead with seven awards, followed closely by Paani with six. Ghaath also shone brightly, winning Best Actor (Critics’) for Jitendra Joshi and Best Story for Chhatrapal Anand Ninawe. Rajshri Deshpande took home Best Actress (Critics’) for Satyashodhak. The event featured electrifying performances, including Sanju Rathod’s surprise ‘Shaky Shaky’ act, joined by stars like Amruta Khanvilkar, Priya Bapat, and Saie Tamhankar. DJ Kratex and Shreyas further thrilled the audience with their viral hit ‘Tambdi Chambdi’.
Hosted by Siddharth Chandekar and Amey Wagh, the red carpet sparkled with appearances from Rajkummar Rao, Tabu, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Jaideep Ahlawat, and more. The complete winners list includes notable names like Kshitish Date, Namrata Sambherao, Rahul Deshpande, Vaishali Made, and newcomers Dhairya Gholap and Jui Bhagwat.
