Bengaluru, July 2025 – The 7th Indian Open Para Athletics Championship concluded at the Shree Kanteerava Stadium with inspiring performances by over 260 para athletes from across India. The two-day event, supported by sponsors like Balmer Lawrie, AMFI, HDFC Ergo’s Playable, and Leonard Cheshire Disability, showcased rising stars and consistent champions aiming for the upcoming New Delhi 2025 World Para Athletics Championships.

⭐ Key highlights from the final day:

Uttar Pradesh’s Simran clinched gold in Women’s 200m T12 with a time of 24.80s.

Preeti Pal (Uttar Pradesh) won the Women’s 200m T35 in 31.40s.

Odisha’s Jayanti Behera triumphed in the Women’s 200m T37, T46 & T47, clocking 27.90s.

Haryana’s Dharambir dominated Men’s Club Throw F32 & F51 with a 30.37m throw, while teammate Haney took gold in Men’s Discus Throw F37 (53.81m).

Arunachal Pradesh’s Tingong Wangpan Nokkai won Men’s 200m T35 in 27.80s.

Sandeep (Haryana) secured gold in Men’s 200m T44 at 24.50s.

Tamil Nadu’s Keerthika Jayachandran topped Women’s Javelin F33–F54 and earned bronze in Discus Throw F51–F54.

Odisha’s Suchitra Parida claimed gold in Women’s Javelin F55 & F56.

Haryana’s Sharmila won Women’s Shot Put F57 with a throw of 9.77m.
