Test Twenty Launches Global Coach Equity Programme, Giving Real Ownership To Cricket Coaches

Test Twenty, the pioneering fourth format of cricket under Parity Sports, has introduced a first-of-its-kind Coach Equity Programme that allows grassroots cricket coaches worldwide to become equity stakeholders in the platform. Announced in Dubai, the initiative marks a major structural shift in how cricket recognises and rewards coaching contributions.

Under the programme, coaches will earn Coach Equity Points (CEPs) for supporting and guiding young players entering the Test Twenty ecosystem. These points will accumulate through the season and later convert into actual equity in Parity Sports, giving coaches a direct share in the value they help create. The programme aims to shift the sport from being performance-centric to contribution-centric, ensuring those shaping talent pipelines receive long-term recognition.

Cricketing greats and senior administrators have welcomed the move. World Cup-winner Madan Lal called it a transformational step that finally places grassroots coaches at the centre of cricket’s growth journey. Former BCCI Secretary Niranjan Shah described the initiative as aligned with Test Twenty’s mission to blend tradition with modern opportunity. Commentator Aakash Chopra praised the effort for acknowledging coaches who often remain behind the scenes.

Global coaching leader Phil Simmons highlighted the programme’s significance in empowering coaching professionals and strengthening cricket development structures worldwide.

Test Twenty’s leadership emphasised that participation will be invitation-based, encouraging coaches from academies, communities, and youth programmes across regions to join the movement through direct dialogue rather than formal applications.

Positioned as an inclusive, merit-led ecosystem, Test Twenty continues to build pathways for emerging players and mentors ahead of its global trials in 2026.
