August 11, 2025 – Pro Kabaddi League Season 12 kicks off with a fiery clash on August 29, as Bengaluru Bulls take on Puneri Paltan in the second match of the opening day. All eyes will be on former teammates turned rivals, Aslam Inamdar and Akash Shinde, as they face off in one of the season’s most anticipated showdowns.
In a recent Instagram Live session, Akash Shinde — who moved from Puneri Paltan to Bengaluru Bulls this season — spoke about the intensity of facing his old squad. “We’ve worn the same jersey for years, but now it’s all about proving a point,” he said. Aslam, returning from injury and captaining Puneri Paltan, added, “The fans can expect fireworks — friendship ends at the line.”
The duo also praised the return of matches to new cities like Visakhapatnam, alongside Jaipur, Chennai, and Delhi during the league stage, which runs till October 23. Akash is particularly thrilled about playing in Vizag for the first time, saying, “This is a fresh start — new team, new fans, and I’m ready to give it my all.”
Both raiders emphasized mutual respect off the mat but promised no mercy on it. “Ghuskar raid karenge,” said Aslam. “It’s going to be aggressive, energetic, and pure entertainment for the fans.”
