Mumbai, August 22, 2025: Ahead of PKL Season 12, U Mumba unveiled a special jersey celebrating the 10-year anniversary of their iconic 2015 championship win. Inspired by the Season 2 kit, the new design blends the team’s trademark orange-and-black identity with modern elements, including a tribute to Mumbai’s Airport—symbolising a bridge between past triumphs and future ambitions.
Marking the occasion, U Mumba also rolled out an intensive 50-day fitness camp led by strength and conditioning coach Pratiek Ninawe, a former international sprinter. The program focused on mobility, explosive power, and endurance—pushing players beyond the 110 kg squat mark and sharpening agility through sprint mechanics. The aim: to convert raw strength into match-day impact for the league’s most competitive season yet.
Captain Sunil Kumar expressed pride in wearing a jersey that pays homage to U Mumba’s legacy while focusing on building a new era with a mix of seniors and young talent. Team owner Ronnie Screwvala and CEO Suhail Chandhok highlighted how the 2015 victory shaped the franchise’s approach, blending professional structures, grooming homegrown talent, and now pioneering fitness-driven preparation rarely seen in kabaddi.
With 111 league-stage wins and a tradition of developing players who’ve gone on to represent India, U Mumba continues to be a powerhouse in PKL. Entering Season 12, the franchise is set to blend legacy, fitness innovation, and rising stars such as Ajit Chouhan, Rohit Raghav, Lokesh Ghosliya, and Anil Jasta—all while chasing their second PKL title.
