Mumbai: The 2nd VidhiChashak – Law College Men’s Cricket Tournament 2026, organized by Modern Education Society’s New Law College in collaboration with the Mumbai Cricket Association, concluded successfully, bringing together top law institutions for a competitive cricketing showcase.
The tournament began on April 13 at Islam Gymkhana and featured participation from 14 leading law colleges across Mumbai. A total of 21 matches, including league games, semi-finals, and the final, were played across prominent city venues.
The grand finale, held on April 25 at MCA Ground BKC, saw Rizvi Law College take on KES Shri Jayantilal H. Patel Law College. Batting first, Rizvi posted a strong total of 215/6 in 20 overs, powered by Rohan Bhosle’s 93 and Gokul Kochey’s 40. In reply, KES managed 181/3, with notable contributions from Nirupam Patil (68) and Aryan Nayak (64). Rizvi secured a convincing 34-run victory to lift the title.
Smit Dave was named Best Bowler, Gokul Kochey Best Batsman, and Jayesh Mhatre earned the Player of the Series award. The tournament highlighted sportsmanship, unity, and competitive spirit among aspiring legal professionals.
