Mumbai, June 7: Former India A captain and cricketer Priyank Panchal has joined Sportsversity as Strategic Advisor as the athlete-first sports education platform officially launched in India. The initiative aims to help athletes, students, and sports enthusiasts explore career opportunities beyond active competition.
Sportsversity has introduced five specialised programs covering Athlete Wellness & Performance Science, Sports Media, Content & Commentary, Sports Business & Entrepreneurship, Athlete Branding, Career & Finance, and Sports Family – Parenting & Finance.
Speaking on the launch, Panchal said that sport offers far more opportunities than most athletes are exposed to during their playing careers. He added that Sportsversity seeks to equip learners with the knowledge, skills, and industry exposure required to build successful careers within the sports ecosystem.
The platform addresses a growing gap in India’s rapidly expanding sports industry, where awareness of non-playing career pathways remains limited despite increasing participation and professional opportunities. Through cohort-based learning, live sessions, industry mentorship, practical assignments, and portfolio-building exercises, Sportsversity aims to provide real-world exposure to aspiring professionals.
A unique feature of the platform is ‘Game Day’, where participants present projects before senior sports executives and industry leaders. Applications for the July 2026 cohort are now open, offering learners a structured pathway into the evolving sports industry.
