Mumbai, June 6, 2026: All-rounder Tushar Deshpande delivered a match-winning performance to help MSC Maratha Royals register a convincing 25-run victory over Bandra Blasters in the Nuvama Private T20 Mumbai League 2026 at the Wankhede Stadium.
After being put in to bat, Maratha Royals found themselves in trouble at 36/3 inside five overs. However, Tushar produced a stunning counterattack, smashing an unbeaten 55 off just 25 balls, including six sixes. Supported by useful contributions from Ayaz Khan (31), Chinmay Sutar (31) and Rohan Raje (28), the Royals recovered brilliantly to post a formidable 203/7 in 20 overs.
In reply, Bandra Blasters mounted a strong challenge through skipper Suved Parkar, who scored 56 off 40 balls. Prateek Ravishankar (47) and Jay Jain (46) also played aggressive knocks, keeping the chase alive during the middle overs.
However, once the top-order trio departed, the innings lost momentum. The Royals’ bowlers struck regularly, with Tushar once again leading the way by claiming 2 wickets for just 12 runs in three overs. Bandra were eventually bowled out for 178 in 17.5 overs.
The comprehensive victory strengthened Maratha Royals’ campaign, while Tushar Deshpande’s exceptional all-round display stood out as one of the finest performances of the tournament so far.
