Mumbai, June 10, 2026: SOBO Mumbai Falcons kept their semi-final hopes alive in the Nuvama Private T20 Mumbai League 2026 with a convincing seven-wicket victory over table-toppers North Mumbai Panthers at the Wankhede Stadium on Wednesday.
Chasing 158 for victory, the Falcons produced a composed batting display to reach the target in 18.1 overs. Opener Ishan Mulchandani starred with a fluent 65 off 49 balls, striking two fours and five sixes. His innings laid the foundation for the successful chase and ensured the Falcons remained firmly in contention for a place in the last four.
After an early wicket, Mulchandani steadied the innings before adding a crucial 77-run partnership with Gautam Waghela. Waghela played an equally important role, remaining unbeaten on 45 and guiding the team towards victory. Captain Aditya Tare then finished the chase alongside Waghela, remaining not out on 10.
Earlier, North Mumbai Panthers were bowled out for 157 in 19.2 overs despite useful contributions from Abhigyan Kundu (45) and Anish Chaudhery (32), who shared a 78-run stand for the second wicket.
The Falcons’ bowlers turned the game around through an outstanding spell from Mayuresh Tandel, who claimed four wickets and triggered a middle-order collapse. Yash Dicholkar (2/17) and Vedant Gore (2/33) also made valuable contributions with the ball.
With this important win, SOBO Mumbai Falcons remain in the race for a semi-final berth, with qualification now depending on the outcome of the remaining league-stage matches.
