Winning a championship is a proud achievement, but sustaining success is an even greater challenge. After claiming our first T20 Mumbai League title, we quickly realised that defending a trophy is not about repeating the past—it is about staying committed to a long-term vision.
From the beginning, we never viewed ourselves as just team owners. Our goal has always been to build an ecosystem that creates meaningful opportunities for Mumbai’s emerging cricketers. The city has no shortage of talent or ambition; what young players often need is the right platform, guidance and exposure to turn potential into lasting success.
That belief shaped every decision we made. Beyond assembling a competitive squad, we invested in coaching, fitness, scouting and mentorship while building systems that would remain strong regardless of individual players. We wanted to create a culture where responsibility, discipline and teamwork became second nature.
One defining moment in this year’s final reflected that philosophy. When our captain was forced off the field due to injury, another player stepped in seamlessly. There was no confusion or panic—only confidence in the systems and culture the team had built together.
Becoming the first franchise to successfully defend the T20 Mumbai League title is a milestone we cherish. More importantly, it validates our belief that championships are built on strong foundations, not short-term success.
Our ambition extends beyond trophies. We hope MSC Maratha Royals will be remembered as a franchise that not only won titles but also helped shape the future of Mumbai cricket by nurturing its next generation of champions.
