England Clinch T20I Series with Dominant Nine-Wicket Victory Over India

England sealed the five-match T20I series with a commanding nine-wicket win over India in the fourth match, taking an unassailable 3-0 lead. Chasing a target of 159, the hosts produced a clinical batting display to complete the chase in just 13.5 overs.

Harry Brook starred with an explosive unbeaten 79 off 35 balls, smashing eight fours and four sixes, while Phil Salt remained unbeaten on 59 from 42 deliveries. The pair shared an unbroken match-winning partnership after Arshdeep Singh dismissed Jos Buttler early in the innings.

Earlier, India struggled to build momentum after being asked to bat first. Captain Shreyas Iyer played a lone hand with a superb unbeaten 80 from 49 balls, striking four boundaries and five sixes. He found limited support from the rest of the batting line-up, with Shivam Dube contributing 22 as India finished on 158/7.

England’s pace attack kept India under pressure throughout the innings. Jofra Archer and Josh Tongue claimed two wickets each, while Adil Rashid removed key batter Abhishek Sharma to halt India’s recovery.

The defeat continues a disappointing run for the reigning T20 world champions, who have now lost consecutive bilateral T20I series. India also remain without a series win under new captain Shreyas Iyer, who has managed only one victory in his first six matches in charge.

With the series already decided, both teams will now shift their focus to the fifth and final T20I in Southampton, where India will look to end the tour on a positive note, while England aim to complete an emphatic series triumph.
