Roastery Coffee House Named Official Coffee Partner of Global Chess League Season 4

Bengaluru, July 9: The Global Chess League (GCL), a joint initiative of Tech Mahindra and FIDE, has announced Roastery Coffee House as its Official Coffee Partner ahead of Season 4, which will be held in Bengaluru from September 3 to 13.

As part of the partnership, Roastery Coffee House will launch the ‘Road to GCL’ initiative, featuring community chess tournaments, café activations and fan engagement events across its outlets. The winners of these café competitions will receive exclusive access to the league, while Roastery will also curate special coffee experiences for players, partners and fans during the tournament.

GCL Commissioner Gourav Rakshit said the collaboration aims to bring chess into everyday spaces and create meaningful engagement beyond the competition arena. Roastery Coffee House founder Nishant Sinha said the partnership was a natural fit, as both chess and coffee demand patience, strategy and determination.

Season 4 of the Global Chess League will feature six franchises competing in the league’s unique mixed-team format, with each side comprising one Icon, two Superstar Men, two Superstar Women and one Prodigy player.

The partnership reflects GCL’s continued efforts to expand the sport’s reach through innovative fan-first initiatives, while leveraging Bengaluru’s vibrant coffee culture and growing reputation as a global technology and innovation hub.
