The 2026 edition witnessed significant growth through its broadcast partnership with JioStar. The men’s competition reached over 65 million television viewers, while TV watch time increased by 61%. Digital viewership on JioHotstar also surged by 66% compared to the previous edition, highlighting the league’s rising popularity across the country.

The tournament featured several Indian cricket stars, including Suryakumar Yadav, Shreyas Iyer, Ajinkya Rahane, Shivam Dube, Shardul Thakur, Sarfaraz Khan and Tushar Deshpande, alongside promising young talents.

A major highlight of the season was the successful launch of the inaugural Nuvama Private T20 Mumbai Women’s League, marking an important step in the MCA’s efforts to strengthen women’s cricket and create greater opportunities for emerging players.

MCA President Ajinkya Naik said the record-breaking audience figures reflect the growing appeal of the league and praised the positive response to the women’s competition. T20 Mumbai League Governing Council Chairman Rajdip Gupta described the 2026 season as a landmark edition that showcased the tournament’s growth as a premium domestic cricket property.

The league also enjoyed a strong digital presence, with its integrated marketing campaign generating over 158 million social media views. The MCA aims to build on this momentum by enhancing fan engagement and further expanding the tournament in the coming years.
