Ampverse DMI’s gaming and entertainment platform, RIVALS, has expanded beyond college campuses with the launch of Pro Rivals, while announcing its biggest-ever College Rivals Season 4, aimed at strengthening India’s growing esports ecosystem.
The inaugural Pro Rivals tournament is being held from July 17 to 29, 2026, featuring nearly 1,000 teams from across the country in a six-round online competition. The event offers a ₹7 lakh prize pool, with ₹3 lakh for the champions, ₹2 lakh for the runners-up and ₹1 lakh for the third-placed team. Individual awards for Most Valuable Player (MVP) and Fan Favourite carry prize money of ₹50,000 each.
Meanwhile, College Rivals Season 4 kicked off in Pune on July 20 and will cover more than 100 colleges across 40-plus cities, making it the platform’s largest edition so far. Students will compete in BGMI Solo, BGMI Female, BGMI Squad and EA SPORTS FC Mobile, while Chess has been introduced as a competitive title for the first time.
Beyond esports, the season will feature community gaming activities, creator interactions, music and pop-culture experiences through the Rivals Arcade.
Ampverse DMI said Pro Rivals creates a national competitive platform for professional and emerging teams, while College Rivals continues to nurture grassroots gaming talent across campuses.
With India’s mobile gaming and esports market expected to grow from US$1.1 billion in 2025 to US$2.4 billion by 2029, the company believes structured tournaments like RIVALS will play a key role in the industry’s future growth.
