Falcons Fly Into Final with Dominant Third Straight Win

Mumbai, June 7, 2026: SOBO Mumbai Falcons secured a place in the final of the inaugural Nuvama Private T20 Mumbai Women’s League with a convincing 39-run victory over Aakash Tigers Mumbai Western Suburb at the Wankhede Stadium on Sunday.

Batting first, the Falcons posted a competitive 143/7 in 20 overs, thanks to a composed 49 from Sarika Koli. After an early setback, Simran Shaikh contributed 38 while Aarohi Bambode added 19 to steady the innings. Koli and skipper Sayali Satghare then built a crucial partnership to keep the scoreboard moving. For the Tigers, Fatima Jaffar was the standout performer with the ball, claiming 3/20.

Chasing 144, Aakash Tigers suffered an early blow when captain Humairaa Kaazi was dismissed without scoring. Sanika Chalke fought hard with a well-made 42 and shared a 47-run stand with Sejal Raut, but regular wickets halted the chase. Once Chalke was run out, the Tigers failed to recover and were bowled out for 104 in 18.2 overs.

Falcons captain Sayali Satghare led from the front with figures of 2/21, while Swara Jadhav (2/12) and Nirmiti Rane (2/21) provided excellent support.

With their third consecutive win, the unbeaten Falcons storm into the final, scheduled for June 13. All matches are being broadcast live on JioHotstar and Star Sports Network.
