Australian all-rounder Glenn Maxwell and his wife Vini Raman have become parents for the second time after welcoming a baby girl. The couple shared the happy news with their fans on social media on Tuesday, August 18.
Maxwell and Vini introduced their newborn daughter as Maia Maxwell, describing her as their “dream girl”. The couple already have a son, Logan Maverick Maxwell, who was born on September 11, 2023. With the arrival of Maia, the Maxwell family now has four members.
Maxwell and Vini first met in December 2013 and became close friends before their relationship developed into romance. They made their relationship official in 2017 and got engaged in February 2020. The couple married in Melbourne on March 27, 2022, in both a Christian ceremony and a traditional Tamil Brahmin wedding.
Vini Raman is a Melbourne-based pharmacist of Indian origin with family roots in Tamil Nadu.
Meanwhile, Maxwell continues to remain involved in T20 cricket. He retired from ODI cricket in June 2025 after representing Australia in 149 matches, scoring 3,990 runs and taking 77 wickets. He was also part of Australia’s 2015 and 2023 ODI World Cup-winning teams.
Maxwell is currently preparing for the new European T20 Premier League, where he is co-owner and captain of Belfast Wolves. The inaugural season of the tournament is scheduled to begin on August 26.
