Mumbai Mozartt edged past Century Warriors in a nail-biting 14-13 contest. The tie saw early dominance from Century Warriors through Santosh Wakradkar and Anish Sontakke, both clinching 2-1 wins. However, Mumbai Mozartt bounced back strongly, led by Shreya Deshpande, who secured a crucial 2-1 win in the women’s singles. The momentum shifted further as young talents Ishan Khandekar, Divyanshi Bhowmick, and Aakarshan Yadav contributed key victories. Divyanshi stood out with a commanding 3-0 win in the junior girls’ singles, sealing a thrilling win for her side.
Meanwhile, PBG Pune Jaguars turned their campaign around in style. After a quiet start to the tournament, they defeated Bayside Spinners TTC 15-12, with Amol Sarode setting the tone through a dominant 3-0 victory. Senhora Dsouza and the young squad maintained control despite resistance from the opposition.
The Jaguars carried their form into the next tie, edging NPV Smashers 14-13. Reeth Rishya played a pivotal role with a 2-1 win in women’s singles and later combined with Neil Mulye for a clinical 3-0 victory in mixed doubles.
In other matches, Century Warriors defeated Phantom Stars 16-11, while Ping Panthers overcame Jolly Friends Sports Club 15-12, rounding off an exciting day of table tennis action.
