The event carries a prize purse of USD 260,000 and is expected to attract elite and amateur runners from across the world. This year’s edition marks the marathon’s third decade and continues its focus on promoting fitness, community participation and social impact. AMARON has joined as the Powered By Partner, while Air India Express has come on board as the Airline Partner.
At the launch, organisers also unveiled the VDHM Socio-Economic-Health Impact Report 2025, which revealed that last year’s event generated an estimated ₹433.88 crore in socio-economic and health impact. The report highlighted participation by 39,513 runners, including 9,709 women, while NGOs and fundraisers raised ₹4.12 crore for charitable causes. The marathon also followed sustainable practices, ensuring 100% waste management and reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
Participants in the 2026 edition will receive several benefits, including free travel on the Delhi Metro on race day, exclusive PUMA race-day T-shirts for Half Marathon and 10K runners, and specially designed finisher medals made from zinc sourced from Hindustan Zinc’s Zawar Mines. Organisers said the event will continue promoting healthier lifestyles, community engagement and philanthropy while strengthening India’s distance-running culture.
