IRDAI Launches Comic Book Series to Boost Life Insurance Awareness Under ‘Insurance For All’ Initiative

India, June 30, 2026: In a major step towards promoting financial awareness, Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI) Chairman Ajay Seth unveiled a Consumer Awareness Comic Book Series aimed at simplifying life insurance concepts and improving understanding among citizens.

The initiative, launched under the vision of ‘Insurance For All’, brings together leaders from the life insurance sector to make insurance more accessible and easier to understand for individuals and families across India.

The comic series explains important life insurance concepts such as the Married Women’s Property Act (MWP), Waiver of Premium (WoP), and Critical Illness riders through simple storytelling instead of complex technical language. The stories revolve around the journey of a young life insurance advisor, Supriya, showing how financial decisions can impact future security.

The launch was part of National Insurance Awareness Day celebrations and reflects the joint commitment of IRDAI and the life insurance industry to encourage informed financial decisions and strengthen household preparedness.

IAC-Life Chairperson Kamlesh Rao said that life insurance plays a key role in building financial confidence and protecting family aspirations. He added that ‘Insurance For All’ aims to make protection an essential part of every Indian family’s financial planning.

The initiative also highlights the need to bridge India’s life insurance protection gap and improve financial literacy among consumers.
