Mumbai, July 29: SBI Card and Google have launched the Google Pay Flex SBI Card, a co-branded credit card aimed at making everyday digital payments more rewarding, flexible, and seamless. The card is integrated with the Google Pay app, allowing users to apply, manage their account, redeem rewards, and make payments within the platform.
Available on both RuPay and Visa networks, the card enables customers to earn up to 18,000 Stars annually, with rewards of up to 8 Stars for every cumulative ₹500 spent, depending on monthly spending milestones. The RuPay variant also supports UPI payments, while both variants can be tokenised on Google Pay for tap-to-pay transactions.
The card comes with a joining and annual fee of ₹499 plus applicable taxes, which can be reversed on achieving annual spends of ₹1 lakh. New customers receive welcome benefits worth ₹1,000, including ₹500 credited on the first Google Pay transaction and additional Stars worth ₹500 upon payment of the joining fee.
Cardholders can instantly redeem Stars while making UPI payments on Google Pay, with 1 Star equal to ₹1. The card also offers the option to convert the latest outstanding bill into easy EMIs.
SBI Card Managing Director & CEO Salila Pande said the partnership reflects the company’s focus on creating customer-centric payment solutions, while Google Pay Senior Director Sharath Bulusu said the offering aims to make digital credit as accessible and convenient as everyday UPI payments.
