The All India Pickleball Association (AIPA) has announced a 34-member Indian junior contingent for the 3rd Asian Pickleball Juniors, organised by the Asia Federation of Pickleball (AFP). The tournament will feature some of Asia’s top young players and forms part of AFP’s flagship Asia Pickleball Junior Open circuit.
The Indian squad will compete across the Under-12, Under-14, Under-16 and Under-18 categories. Players have been selected from states including Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka, Delhi, Chhattisgarh, Punjab, Haryana, Jharkhand and Chandigarh, reflecting the rapid growth of junior pickleball in India.
The continental championship offers Indian players an opportunity to gain international exposure, compete against Asia’s best junior talent and earn valuable experience within AFP’s structured development pathway. The event also serves as a stepping stone towards future global competitions, including the Pickleball World Championships (Junior/Collegiate).
Skechers India, the official kitting partner of the Indian junior team, will provide tournament kits and high-performance pickleball shoes to all members of the contingent.
AIPA President Arvind Ramesh Prabhoo said the tournament would provide invaluable international exposure and help accelerate the development of India’s young players. He also thanked Skechers India for supporting the team with world-class apparel and footwear.
AIPA, the national governing body for pickleball in India, continues to focus on expanding the sport, developing young talent and creating a strong pathway from grassroots participation to international success.
