Mumbai, June 7, 2026: Ankur Singh produced a match-winning spell at the death as Aakash Tigers Mumbai Western Suburbs pulled off a thrilling seven-run victory over ARCS Andheri in the Nuvama Private T20 Mumbai League 2026 at the Wankhede Stadium on Sunday.
Defending 171, the Tigers looked under pressure for most of the chase as ARCS Andheri recovered from an early wobble through a crucial 58-run partnership between Ayush Jethwa (36) and Prasad Pawar. Pawar continued his impressive form, scoring a well-crafted 54 off 39 balls to register his third half-century of the season.
Andheri appeared to be cruising towards victory when captain Shivam Dube smashed 25 off just 13 deliveries, including three sixes. However, Dube’s dismissal triggered a dramatic collapse. Ankur Singh turned the game on its head with a sensational spell, claiming 4/39 and picking up key wickets in the closing stages. Andheri lost five wickets in the final three overs and were bowled out for 164, falling short by seven runs.
Earlier, Aakash Tigers posted 171/6, powered by Ajit Yadav’s fluent 55 and Jay Bista’s 35. For Andheri, Ajay Mishra impressed with figures of 2/18.
The victory keeps the Tigers in contention and highlighted their ability to hold their nerve under pressure.
