New Delhi, June 3: India will embark on a landmark tour of New Zealand later this year, featuring the biggest bilateral men’s cricket series ever hosted by New Zealand. The six-week tour will run from October 22 to December 1, 2026, and include 12 international matches across all three formats.
The tour begins with a five-match T20I series, starting in Christchurch on October 22. The teams will then compete in five One-Day Internationals, with the first ODI scheduled at Auckland’s Eden Park on November 4. The tour will conclude with a two-match Test series, beginning at Wellington’s Basin Reserve on November 19 and ending at Hagley Oval in Christchurch on December 1.
This will be India’s first Test tour of New Zealand since the 2019-20 season. The series also carries added significance as it marks 100 years of sporting ties between India and New Zealand, with celebrations supported by the New Zealand government.
The itinerary covers five major venues—Christchurch, Wellington, Auckland, Hamilton and Mount Maunganui—ensuring cricket fans across the country witness top-class action.
According to New Zealand Cricket, the series will be the highest number of men’s international matches hosted against a single visiting nation, underlining the growing cricketing rivalry between the two teams.
Broadcast and live-streaming details for Indian viewers are yet to be announced and are expected closer to the start of the tour.
