Slovakia, August 22, 2026: Indian women wrestlers added three medals to the country’s tally at the U20 World Championships in Slovakia, winning one silver and two bronze medals.

Mansi Lather secured the silver medal in the 68kg category after a closely fought gold medal bout against China’s Chenling Song. Mansi narrowly went down 1-2 in the defensive contest but finished with a commendable silver.

India also enjoyed success in the bronze medal bouts. Tanvi Gundesh Magdum defeated Canada’s Agnia Krakovska 10-4 in the 57kg category to claim bronze.

In the 59kg category, Komal produced another strong performance, beating Hungary’s Eda Balazs 5-2 to secure India’s third medal of the day.

The three medals strengthen India’s performance in the women’s wrestling competition at the prestigious age-group world championships.

India’s latest medal tally in women’s wrestling includes Mansi Lather’s silver in 68kg, Tanvi Gundesh Magdum’s bronze in 57kg and Komal’s bronze in 59kg.

The Indian contingent will now turn its attention to the remaining Men’s Freestyle (FS) events. Indian wrestlers will compete in the 57kg, 65kg, 79kg and 92kg categories as the championship enters its concluding stages.

With three more medals added to the tally, India will look to finish the U20 World Championships on a strong note.
