New Delhi, June 11, 2026: Anvay Dravid, the younger son of former India captain and coach Rahul Dravid, has been selected in India’s Under-19 squad for the upcoming tour of Sri Lanka.
The BCCI’s Junior Cricket Committee announced the squads on Thursday for the tour, which will feature three one-day matches and two multi-day games starting from July 4. Anvay has been included as one of the wicketkeepers in the one-day squad alongside Rajat Baghel.
The Karnataka youngster has impressed in age-group cricket over the past year. During the 2025 Vinoo Mankad Trophy, he played a key role in Karnataka’s run to the quarter-finals, scoring 220 runs in six matches, including an unbeaten 82 and another half-century.
The India U-19 side will be led by Yashbardhan Singh Chauhan, with Lakshya Raichandani serving as vice-captain in both formats.
Anvay’s selection adds another chapter to the Dravid family’s association with India’s junior cricket setup. In 2024, his elder brother Samit Dravid was also selected for the India U-19 team for a home series against Australia.
The Sri Lanka tour presents an important opportunity for India’s emerging talents, with Anvay set to take a significant step forward in his promising cricket career. :::
