India all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja reached another major milestone in Test cricket during the first Test against Sri Lanka in Galle on August 17, 2026.
Jadeja completed 350 Test wickets, becoming only the fifth Indian bowler to achieve the landmark. He joined an elite list featuring Anil Kumble, Ravichandran Ashwin, Kapil Dev and Harbhajan Singh.
The milestone also saw Jadeja enter an even more exclusive club. He became only the second Indian after Kapil Dev to score more than 4,000 Test runs and take at least 350 wickets. This underlines his remarkable contribution as an all-rounder across his Test career.
Jadeja has been one of India’s most dependable performers in the longest format, contributing consistently with both bat and ball. His ability to provide crucial breakthroughs while also adding valuable runs has made him an important part of India’s Test setup.
The 350-wicket landmark further strengthens his position among India’s greatest all-rounders. Kapil Dev remains the other Indian to have achieved the combination of 4,000-plus Test runs and 350-plus wickets.
Jadeja’s achievement came on Day 3 of the opening Test against Sri Lanka, adding another memorable chapter to his international career.
With several important Test assignments ahead, Jadeja will be looking to build on the milestone and continue playing a key role for India.
