Thane, May 30: Eagle Thane Strikers have appointed India all-rounder Shardul Thakur as captain for the upcoming T20 Mumbai League 2026, reinforcing their ambition to challenge for the title this season.
A seasoned campaigner in Mumbai cricket, Thakur brings extensive experience from international cricket as well as domestic and franchise tournaments. The franchise believes his leadership qualities and match-winning ability will play a crucial role as the team aims to improve on its semifinal finish from the previous edition.
The Strikers will enter the tournament with a balanced squad featuring a mix of experienced players and promising young talent. The team will also be guided by newly appointed head coach Dhawal Kulkarni, with a focus on playing an aggressive brand of cricket.
