T20 Mumbai League 2026 – Parkar’s Record Century Goes in Vain as Panthers Clinch Super Over Classic

Mumbai, June 3: A record-breaking century from Bandra Blasters skipper Suved Parkar was overshadowed by North Mumbai Panthers’ dramatic Super Over victory in a thrilling Nuvama Private T20 Mumbai League 2026 encounter at the Wankhede Stadium on Wednesday.

Parkar lit up the evening with a sensational 110 off just 54 balls, including 10 fours and seven sixes, registering the fastest century in the tournament’s history. His explosive knock powered Bandra Blasters to a massive 228/5, the second-highest total of the season. He was well supported by Prateekkumar Ravishankar (33), while Jay Jain and Dhrumil Matkar added late fireworks.

Chasing 229, the Panthers responded with equal aggression. Hardik Tamore continued his outstanding form, smashing 83 off 39 deliveries and racing to a 17-ball fifty. Abhigyan Kundu contributed 39, while Tanush Kotian played a crucial unbeaten cameo of 32 from 14 balls to keep the chase alive.

The match appeared to be slipping away from the Panthers after leg-spinner Sagar Chhabriaa claimed three key wickets, but Kotian’s late assault helped North Mumbai finish on 228/8, forcing the tournament’s second Super Over.

In the decider, Vaibhav Mali starred with the bat, hammering two sixes and a four to propel the Panthers to 20/1. The Blasters failed to match the target and could manage only 7/0, handing Ajinkya Rahane’s side their second consecutive victory.

The win strengthened the Panthers’ position in the tournament, while the Blasters were left ruing a memorable innings from Parkar that ultimately ended on the losing side.
