The makers of Ramayana have announced that the film’s trailer will be unveiled worldwide at 4:15 am IST, during the sacred Brahma Muhurat, a pre-dawn period considered highly auspicious in Hindu tradition. Producer Namit Malhotra said the trailer’s release at this spiritually significant hour symbolizes a new beginning and reflects the film’s deep cultural and devotional roots.
According to Hindu beliefs, Brahma Muhurat occurs around 1 hour and 36 minutes before sunrise and is regarded as the ideal time for prayer, meditation, study, and self-reflection. It is believed to represent purity, wisdom, and divine consciousness. Many temples across India begin their morning rituals during this period, with priests performing prayers and sacred ceremonies before sunrise.
Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, Ramayana is one of the most ambitious Indian film projects ever made. The epic stars Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi as Goddess Sita, Yash as Ravana, Sunny Deol as Lord Hanuman, and Ravi Dubey as Lakshmana, alongside a star-studded cast.
The film is being released in two parts. Ramayana: Part I is scheduled to hit theatres globally on November 8, 2026, while Part II is expected to release during Diwali 2027. Producer Namit Malhotra has previously revealed that the combined budget for both films is around $500 million (over ₹4,000 crore), making it one of the costliest film productions in Indian cinema.
The unique trailer launch timing has generated significant excitement among fans, highlighting the filmmakers’ effort to blend cinematic spectacle with India’s spiritual heritage.
