Grip Invest Launches Great Indian Bond Festival to Boost Retail Participation

Mumbai, August 19, 2026: Grip Invest has launched the first edition of the Great Indian Bond Festival (GIBF), a two-week national campaign aimed at increasing awareness and participation in India’s fixed-income market. The campaign runs from August 18 to 31, with NSE as Venue Partner and NSDL as Depository Partner.

India’s corporate bond market is valued at more than ₹59 lakh crore, while less than 1% of Indian households currently invest in bonds, highlighting significant scope for wider retail participation. The festival seeks to make bonds more accessible and familiar through campaigns across print, digital media, social platforms, podcasts, influencers and affiliates.

The initiative is also supported by ecosystem partners including Tata Neu, ET Money, MobiKwik, Compound Express (DSP Group) and Elevest by InsuranceDekho.

The festival was inaugurated at the NSE Atrium in Mumbai in the presence of more than 250 participants from across the financial ecosystem, including regulators, issuers, investors, wealth advisors, family offices and fund managers.

Speaking at the launch, Grip Invest Founder and Group CEO Nikhil Aggarwal said retail participation in bonds has grown at a 200% CAGR to more than ₹30,000 crore annually, while awareness remains low.

NSE and NSDL officials also highlighted the need for greater investor awareness, accessibility and transparency to deepen India’s fixed-income market and expand retail participation.
