New Delhi, August 14, 2026: India star all-rounder Deepti Sharma is looking to make the most of her stint in The Hundred 2026 as she prepares for the upcoming Women’s Asia Cup, beginning August 28.

Speaking to JioStar, Deepti said her focus is currently on performing for Sunrisers Leeds Women and sharpening her skills across batting, bowling and fielding before joining the Indian team for the Asia Cup.

“I am trying to make the most of this tournament so that I can go into the Asia Cup well prepared,” Deepti said, adding that playing in The Hundred is providing her with a valuable opportunity to develop her all-round game.

Deepti has been in impressive form with the ball and in the field for Sunrisers Leeds, who are aiming to defend their title. She also expressed her excitement about playing for the Leeds-based franchise, revealing that orange is her favourite colour.

“Playing on our home ground here in Leeds is special. The ground is full of Sunrisers fans, and everywhere I look, I see orange,” she said.

The Indian all-rounder also spoke about the pride and responsibility associated with representing India. She described wearing the blue jersey as the result of years of hard work and sacrifice.

Deepti stressed that she approaches every match with the same intensity, regardless of its stature. “I try to give more than 100% in every game I play,” she said, adding that she enjoys pressure situations and views challenging moments as opportunities to perform better.
